LITTLE BOYS

A long time ago through fables and tales,
Little boys were compared to puppy dog tails;
Cockleshells and snails, and frogs and snakes
Are just a few of the makings it takes.

Little girls wear satin and frilly lace;
And little boys wear denim and mud on their face;
But a mother's love and patient mind,
Can wipe away dirt, and clean away grime.

To each little boy, I would like to say
Save your muddy fingers for another day;
So cling to your pillows and cut-out the light,
And settle down for a peaceful night.
